Paralian's Marmont Vineyard Grenache comes from one of the oldest parts of McLaren Vale, the vines being planted in 1960. Fruit was hand-picked then fermented in a 134-year-old wax-lined concrete vat. Spent 18 days on skins, hand-squeezed, and matured on lees in French oak Foudre for 10 months.

Crisp cranberry tartness is the overarching characteristic of this wine, but touched by sweeter notes of raspberry, red apple, and refreshing mint. Laced through are hints of woody spice, offered by the whole bunch component, all wrapped in delicate tannins. A tight, thoroughly enjoyable drop.
