Just like Admiral Ackbar, the Ackbar Semillon is a true veteran in the Konpira Maru ranks. Since its debut in 2016, it has continuously evolved in style while retaining its reputation as a versatile and refreshing wine.

100% Semillon grapes from Quarry Ridge Vineyard in Kilmore, Victoria, carefully destemmed to ensure whole berry remains and are left in the press for 2 days to extract maximum flavour. After 6 months in stainless, the wine is transferred to old French oak for 8 additional months of maturation. During this time, it undergoes partial malolactic fermentation, resulting in a nicely developed wine with ripe citrus and pear notes, hints of fresh herbs, and a unique salty character. The honeyed palate is balanced by crisp acidity and a subtle touch of textural tannin on the mid palate. This wine is unfined and unfiltered, with a small addition of sulphur being the only intervention made.
