This November we are bringing some of the most innovative Yarra Valley Winemakers to our store. On these dates, they will take over our space as their Urban Cellar Door and invite you to this great opportunity to taste, discuss, and enjoy their innovative wines in person.

You will have the opportunity to sample some small runs, experimental wines that are not always readily availiable to the public as well as some really premium wines the Yarra Valley is famous for.

The event will feature the following winemakers on the following dates.

11 November 2022 - Wine Republic Fitzroy

Sample Cellar Door Only experimental wines by Seville Estate.  A highly awarded family estate passed honoring 3 generations of winemaking and going strong Seville Estate is a much loved winery in the esteemed Upper Yarra Valley wine region. Boasting a spectacular cellar door and restaurant and guest houses this winery is a favourite amongst Melbournians for a weekend away in the vines.

 

11 November 2022 - Wine Republic Northcote

 Wheeler Wines is a small family run winery. Sourcing fruit from top quality Yarra Valley growers that produce high-quality fruit lofi winemaking practices are harnessed to create delicious wines expressive of site and place.

 

12 November 2022 - Wine Republic Fitzroy

The brand embodies alchemy, the principles of science, philosophy and mysticism which turns basic materials in gold. Using a deep understanding of science and basic winemaking Stuart uses his intuition and inspirations to create wines that a truly inspiring and special. A celebration of people, place and nature.

 Sutherland Estate is a boutique, family owned enterprise located at Dixon’s Creek in the premium, cool climate, wine growing region of the Yarra Valley.

Fetherston wines is a collaboration between Chris a long time chef and Camille whose family roots and steeped deep in Yarra Valley wine growing and winemaking. The wines are crafted using traditional winemaking principles and made to enhance culinary experiences. The focus is on balance, and enhancement of the primary fruit flavours of each variety.

 Zonzo Estate is a large well known Yarra Valley Estate nestled in the picturesque Yarra Valley well known for its spectacular function space and Italian restaurant. Whilst embracing and producing some of the Yarra's well known varietals such as Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Cabernet, Zonzo's true heart lies in its Italian heritage. 

 

Solar wines is a lofi winery based in the Yarra Valley producing natural fun minimal intervention wines from fruit sourced from all over Victoria.  All wine is fermented naturally with minimal intervention; no fining no filtration no additions just as nature intended. All Solar wines are sustainably farmed using organic practices and naturally vegan friendly.

 

19 November 2022 - Wine Republic Fitzroy

 

 Rongo wines is a project combining the skills of Ray in winemaking research and development and Josh in viticulture.  Together, they form Rongo wines a small batch, low intervention winery making wines from the best locally sourced and sustainably farmed fruit. 

 

Pure minimal and lofi are how Adrian and Rebecca Santolin define their wines.  A family affair and with many awards for their fabulous wines under their belt including"Best New Act" Young gun of wines award,  Best new world Chardonnay and Best International Chardonnay at HKIWSC, this pair are kicking goals and reaching new heights every year. 

 

19 November 2022 - Wine Republic Northcote

Tillie was first drawn into the wine industry through the love for the culture and people that make up Yarra Valley winemaking.  One vintage in and she was hooked.  Now with numerous vintages all over the world and formal study at the best institutions she is crafting her own wines in the region she loves and calls home.  Wines that celebrate the Yarra Valley; the people, place, culture and diversity.  In 2022 she was a finalist in the Young Gun of Wine award.
